A Biography of Popular DJ Pauly D

Known as Pauly D and Paul D., the initials stand for DJ Pauly D & The Nastytones. Pauly D is a musician and rap artist who is originally from New Jersey. He made his start in radio by appearing on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show. After that he went to college and started a school radio station in Manhattan before joining forces with Paul D., a singer-songwriter who was well known around New York City. Together they were popularized when they were on the third season of MTV’s reality series Jersey Shore.

A multi-million dollar empire has been built since Pauly D & Paul D. became famous, and in turn their careers took off and they moved into the recording studio. By this time they were well known as the Nastytones and had even formed their own record label called Def Jam Recordings. Their first single on the label was “Yacht Club”, which reached No. 1 on the pop chart.

Pauly D now lives in California and continues to make music. In 2021, he was in a relationship for several years with singer-singer Leona Lewis, but the two split in the middle of the night. He continues to tour the country as a popular DJ and he has a large following of fans. The name of the record company that he started out with is still the same as well; they are called Def Jam Recordings. DJ Pauly D has been nominated for Grammys in five of his sixteen albums and he has also been nominated multiple times for CMA’s and the ARIA’s.
